    We hope you're having an awesome summer so far. Let's dive into the product updates we worked on in July!

     

    🔗Ability to link Google Drive folders within Pilot

    Instantly access your Google Drive folders without leaving Pilot, saving you time and improving your productivity. Share knowledge with your team seamlessly. Any changes made to the files within the linked Google Drive folder are automatically reflected in Pilot.

    🆕Welcome Playlists for new organizations

    When new organizations join Pilot, we provide a curated set of introductory materials and guides to help you and your team get up to speed quickly and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.

     

    📂Active file indicator in sidebar

    The active file indicator will make it easier for you to see which files are currently in use or being edited.

     

    Other Updates

    • Changed the Google authentication scoping from “full drive access” to “file access” only for stronger security and privacy.
    • Resolved the problem that prevented adding more than 10 users to internal plans.
    • Fixed the issue where cancelled subscriptions did not reactivate when users resubscribed.
    • Corrected the permissions display issue for shared folders.
    • Updated the styling for Ask AI contextual information to improve clarity and user experience.

    Thanks for being here! Let's dive into the product updates we worked on in the month of June:

     

    🔎Search with Command + K shortcut:

    Quickly find what you're looking for with this new search shortcut.

     

    ⚡Easy access to shortcut for Google Drive at folder level:

    Effortlessly manage your files with enhanced Google Drive integration.

     

    🤝Added Confidence Level indicator for app answers and secondary contextual information on AI answers:

    Get more transparency and context in Pilot’s AI-generated responses, helping you trust and understand the answers better.

     

    🤖Upgraded from OpenAI LLM to GPT-4o:

    We upgraded the language model to improve the accuracy and quality of Pilot’s AI-generated answers.

     

    Other Updates

    • We added a blue line so you can see exactly where your sidebar item will go when you drag it.
    • Updated ChatGPT integration for more consistent results, making your interactions smoother.
    • Fixed the issue so you can now add additional members to your internal plan.
    • Solved the error when copying or moving files without permission.
    • Fixed image display/scaling issue in articles.
    • Clicking members in 'Switch Wiki' now takes you to the correct wiki, not the settings.
    • Improved image display and scaling in articles for a better viewing experience.

    Thanks for being here! Let's dive into the product updates we worked on in the month of May:

     

    🗒️Public wikis no longer show comments:

    We value your privacy. To ensure a more secure experience, comments are now hidden in public wikis.

     

    ♻️Added sync for wiki reindexing:

    Ensures all content is up-to-date and easily searchable, improving overall user experience.

     

    ♻️Added sync for for updating your AI answers:

    Now that your AI answer updates are synced, your data will be more consistent - improving the search capabilities across the Pilot platform.

     

    💬Updated Ask AI styling and text:

    We've refreshed the styling and syncing of the Ask AI button for a more cohesive look and clarified the interface text to better guide users with "Search or ask a question."

     

    Other Updates

    • YouTube Link Formatting: YouTube links now stay as text if they are in a block of text, and arrows have been removed from YouTube embeds for a cleaner look.
    • Global Article Styling: Unified the styling to better match default Google Drive styles, making the user experience more consistent. Providing a familiar and consistent user experience.
    • Sidebar Table of Contents Improvements: Improved the layout and functionality of the sidebar table of contents, including animations for a polished look.
    • Slackbot Homescreen Updates: Improved the Slackbot homescreen for a better user experience.

  4. 📝 April 2024 - Upgrades & Maintenance Logbook

    Thanks for checking out our April Logbook! Here are some of the updates we’ve worked on:

    ☝️Added Google approved indicator and link on the Create Org Page:

    Now, when you're setting up your organization, you'll notice a Google approved indicator and a handy link. This gives you extra assurance and information right from the start.

     

    ➕Open in new tab option added to the “More Actions” menu

    You can now open documents, folders, and links in a new tab with our right-click “more actions” menu. Browse Pilot with more flexibility!

     

    🗒️Fixed signup flow issue when you have no wiki:

    We've addressed a hiccup in the signup process that previously caused issues for users who didn't have a wiki set up yet.

     

    ❗No more error pages after wiki deletion:

    Delete your wikis in peace! You'll no longer run into error pages.

     

    🗞️Other News

    • Better file/folder sorting in treeview: Organizing your content just got easier!
    • Fixed PDF viewing issues: We fixed the issue of PDFs and iFrames showing up too small. No more squinting or struggling to read.
    • Fixed list styles in articles: We fixed the issue where list styles weren't showing up correctly within articles. Lists should be now properly formatted and styled for improved readability.

    ➕18 New Integrations

    We added 18 new tools to our ever-growing integrations list, including Airtable, Dropbox, Clickup, Evernote, Tableau and more! Check out our integration library here. Now, you can seamlessly integrate Pilot with even more tools to make your knowledge base more powerful than ever.

     

    🔗Shareable Anchor Links

    Now, you can easily share specific sections of content with others by linking directly to anchor points within documents.

     

    🔍New Search Results Page

    We've added a dedicated search results page, allowing you to view and navigate through search results more efficiently.

     

    🤖Improved Search/ChatGPT Capabilities

    ChatGPT is now accessible in private wikis. ChatGPT public/standard wikis are also viewable at all locations within the organization.

     

    🗞️Other News

    • Updated playlist sidebar: We've updated the playlist sidebar for improved navigation and organization of your playlists, making it easier to manage your content.
    • Ability to remove comments from file: You can now easily remove comments from files, giving you more control over your content and discussions within the platform.
    • Login directly to the billing page: Now, you can log in directly to your billing page using a specific URL to save you a few clicks!

    You can now rename links just like you do with regular files. This makes organizing stuff in the app way easier and gives you more control over your content.

     

    🗳️ Adding Folders/Files via URL

    Ever wanted to add stuff by just copying and pasting URLs? Well, now you can! It's a super quick way to organize and upload your content.

     

    🔎 Scroll-to-Search

    Say goodbye to endless scrolling! With our new scroll-to-search feature, when you click on a file in search results, we'll automatically take you to the exact spot where your search phrase is. It's like magic!

     

    👋 Emojis in the Side Navigation Menu

    We've spiced up the side navigation menu with emojis! It adds a bit of fun and personality to your navigation experience.

    • Visual/functionality updates: We've spruced up playlists, individual file, and folder pages to make them look and work even better. You'll notice some cool changes next time you're browsing around.
    • Accessibility features for Playlist Page Cards: We've added some accessibility features to make sure everyone can easily use our playlist pages. Accessibility matters, and we're working to make our app more inclusive.
    • Trial period expired page: If your trial period is over, don't worry! We've set up a special page just for you. It'll give you all the info you need and guide you on what to do next. No confusion, just clear instructions.
    • Log in with different accounts: Need to switch between accounts? No problem! We've added a handy new button that lets you log in with different accounts easily. It's all about making your life simpler.

    Searching for documents is tedious. That’s why we built the global menu to help you efficiently navigate through subfolders and main folders.

     

    🔎 Revamp of Search and AI Recommendations Results

    The search and AI recommendations results got a cool new look!

    • Create playlists easily with the “Add Playlist” button on the playlists index screen
    • Links in playlists now direct you to other playlist items, so your team can navigate and discover playlists easier.
    • Now, when you click on "X members" from the side navigation bar, you can easily see which members belong to your wiki.
    • We've moved the playlist navigation buttons to the left side of the screen, ensuring they won't interfere with assistive technologies that you may be using.
    • Take command of feature releases and testing with the new backend feature flipper.
    • We optimized login redirects to make sure you are directed to the right place.
